We offer hair services for of all lengths & textures, hair coloring, blonding and highlights, and rainbow vivid colors. We also offer styling services including formal updos, shampoo and blow-outs, protective styles, curl sets, and french braiding. Complete your experience with acrylic nails, gel or regular manicures, and nail art, as well as brow & lip waxing, and brow tinting.

We welcome all hair types and textures! We book our service times based on starting hair length and color history, your hair goals, and techniques we use to achieve those goals. Please read our Staff Bios to learn about our specialties and personalities!

The Hive Salon (est. 2022) is a full service hair salon in the heart of Lawrence. With an experienced staff and incredible passion, we can match each client to the best service and stylist for them.

The Hive Salon was born from a vision of inclusivity and community, offering a safe space for modern hair care and unmatched customer service, plus a robust employee support system. Gender-free pricing is how we like to do business; you pay for your stylist’s time and education. This structure allows for inclusive pricing and for our employees to earn a fair and livable wage (plus benefits) and a luxury experience for every client.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

The beauty industry produces over 877 pounds of waste each minute. As a Green Circle Salons partner, we are passionate about doing our part for our planet and erasing our carbon footprint. Each of our services include a $2 eco-fee, which is used to offset the cost of our Green Circle Salon certification. We are able to reclaim and recycle up to 95% of our beauty waste through this program, including hair clippings, highlight foils, excess hair color, and all recyclables!
